Do this, in this order
- Turn on your hazard lights straight away.
- Move to the far right, onto the hard shoulder if you can. If the car stops in a live lane and you cannot move it, keep your seatbelt on and call 999.
- Get everyone out on the side away from traffic and stand behind the barrier, not next to the car.
- Place your warning triangle behind the car only if it is safe to walk there.
- Share your live location on WhatsApp and send where you want the car taken. You get the exact price straight away.
- Stay behind the barrier until the truck arrives. The driver calls you when he is close.

- Don't stand between your car and the traffic.
- Don't try to change a tyre on the traffic side of a busy highway.
